Stillwater Primary Care Practice Update

Since we opened Stillwater in 2020 during the pandemic, we have put all of our efforts into making it the best model of primary care we could for patients that chose to follow with us. We have continued to have that be our driving plan. In our attempts to ensure a long future for Stillwater and help address the ever growing demand for primary care in Rhode Island, we chose to expand and acquire a closing practice in the Warwick area. The startup of this practice vastly overran cost and time expenditures from staff and providers, combined with staffing and provider change, decreasing insurance reimbursements, and higher costs of insurance and consumables, it has become unsustainable and at this time the Warwick location is closed. We will continue to manage patient visits and needs for both locations at our Chepachet location while we make every attempt at financially stabilizing the practice and addressing staffing shortages.
